U.S. drone strike kills a leader of an Iran-backed militia in Iraq

A U.S. drone strike in Baghdad killed at least one leader of an Iran-backed militia on Wednesday, the Pentagon said. In a nighttime attack Wednesday, the U.S. military "conducted a unilateral strike in Iraq in response to the attacks on U.S. service members, killing a Kata'ib Hezbollah commander responsible for directly planning and participating in attacks on U.S. forces in the region," U.S. Central Command said in a statement on X, formerly Twitter.

25 train cars derailed in Montana, no injuries reported

Several freight train cars derailed into the river west of Paradise, Montana, on Sunday, Scripps News Missoula reports. The Sanders County Sheriff's Office was notified of an incident near Quinn's Hot Springs where 25 cars had derailed on Sunday morning at around 9:20 a.m., according to the report. As of Sunday afternoon, there were no reported injuries, and the report states that some cars were filled with products such as canned food products, beer, and clay.

4K Blu-ray isn't dying despite Disney and Best Buy's efforts - it's more important than ever

4K Blu-rays have been a hot topic in recent memory. In 2023, Disney announced it would no longer sell 4K Blu-rays in Australia and we here called it a crime for movie fans. Next, Best Buy announced it would no longer stock DVDs or Blu-rays after the holiday season (via Forbes), and from what we can tell, that includes 4K Blu-rays.  Over the past couple of years, people have made the switch to the best streaming services for the large libraries of tv shows and movies available at their fingertips, all for a monthly fee.

Re: Anyone use battery DoctorOK, regarding Sut Apps or similar...one more time... Any software that attempts manage processes by closing down apps is counterproductive to Android operation. Again - Don't use any task killers, RAM memory optimizers/boosters, battery savers/repairers, cache cleaners, etc. They are counterproductive, waste power, disrupt system processes and degrade performance. Let me try to explain a little more why this is so. Manually futzing around closing apps, killing apps, installing RAM boosters, etc is simply incorrect operation of Android.
