Kevin Everett showing signs he could recover

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Patricia Dugas reached out, touched Kevin Everett's arm and asked her son if he could feel her hand. Everett - lying in a hospital bed, barely awake and hooked to life support systems - nodded yes. "I can't even explain it to you, he's like a miracle," Dugas said, her voice breaking in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. Everett's mother spoke publicly for the first time Wednesday, one day after doctors reversed Everett's grim prognosis when he voluntarily moved his arms and legs.

1993 500cc world champion Kevin Schwantz was among the guests present for the Trackhouse Aprilia MotoGP team launch in Los Angelis on Friday night. When Schwantz won his title, it was the 13th by an American in just 16 seasons, with only Italians Marco Lucchinelli (1981) and Franco Uncini (1982) then Australian Wayne Gardner (1987) breaking the US dominance. But there have been just two American champions since Schwantz; Kenny Roberts Jr in 2000 and the late Nicky Hayden in 2006.

Multiple Transported After Bus Crash Along Interstate 81 near Hegins

As of 6:30pm, Sunday, the Southbound Exit along Interstate 81 at Hegins in Schuylkill County is closed due to a bus crash. Around 2:30pm, Sunday, the bus from "Premium Limousine" crashed into a wooded area just off of the off-ramp in Frailey Township.  Multiple EMS and Rescue units were called to assist with incident that involved dozens of people that were injured.  Several of the victims were also flown to area hospitals.
